The Maryland General Assembly just passed our bill, The Accountability Act for Accessible K-12 Education for Students with Disabilities SB617.  It now goes to the Governor’s desk for signature.  The bill requires Maryland school districts to procure digital tools and produce digital learning content that is accessible, establishes accessibility standards, adds enforcement procedures, and creates a penalty for vendors that fail to correct accessibility within a certain time of being notified that what they sold the district fails to meet the accessibility standards.<br>
