Hello All,
I received this from the International Association of Audio Information Services (that's the world wide organization of radio reading services).
I thought you might find it interesting, and that you might want to either express your opinions and/or share this with others you know who might want to contact the FCC regarding cell telephone accessibility.
The information is included below, and as an attachment.
ANNOUNCEMENT
The Federal Communications Commission seeks comments from individuals and groups about the experience of people with disabilities in finding and using mobile phones. This will be a key element of future FCC actions.
Comments will be accepted through Friday, October 15, 2010. They may be emailed to designated staff, avoiding the complex comment filing system.
Between now and the end of the day on Friday, October 15, please tell the FCC of your challenges in obtaining, and then being able to fully utilize an accessible cell phone.
Comments should include your full name, mailing address, and must reference the docket number, CG Docket No. 10-145.
Simply place your comments along with your identifying information in the body of an email message and transmit it to:
Pam.Gregory at FCC.gov
Don't miss this important opportunity to let the FCC hear about your "real world" experience regarding cellular phones and disabilities.
