Good evening,

The Governor Morehead School Alumni Association, Inc. is sponsoring the 4th annual Envisioning Youth Empowerment (EYE) Retreat July 30, 2012 to August 3, 2012 on the campus of The Governor Morehead School in Raleigh, NC.

Attached you will find applications for both participants and group leaders. Please distribute the applications to any youth who may be interested.

Our focus this year is on college transition. Planned activities include a mock
college course taught by a professor from NC State, a disability services
intake meeting, a meeting with a professor to arrange accommodations,
learning to locate classrooms, and learning about services available to students on a college campus. We will also explore public transit both on and off campus to access university services.

To ensure active particiaption there is a small registration fee this year of $25.00 for applications received prior to May 1, 2012. Applications received after this deadline pay a registration fee of $45.00. There are thirty slots available for participants and six slots available for group leaders.

If you have questions please contact me at 910-612-2220 or achase11 at nc.rr.com.

We look foward to another year of great success and want you to be part of it!

Alan
