[Ncabs] Legal Rights Discussion at State Convention

I know it's not our role to advise the national rep on what to put in Friday's program, but I bet this would be the perfect kind of thing for a national rep to lead. These laws are basically all federal, right?
I think it's still very much pertinent for us to do an education-specific one, and it would be nice if all at the convention could experience a separate one on employment law.

Hello!
This is a great idea. Frankly, though many of our attendees at the "general" convention
are older and not seeking work, there are many that are working age that I feel would be
interested and greatly helped by this topic. Also included in this topic should be the
legal rights and recourses and resources if one's employer tries to terminate on the basis
of disability or, for example, poor work performance because of the disability but
unwilling to provide legally-mandated assistance that would solve such a problem.

It shouldn't surprise anyone that I fully, totally, completely, and surely support this
idea!
I'd be happy to take the lead on this one if others feel it should be offered.

I have heard the suggestion to have a session on legal rights for blind students during
the student track at the state convention.
I like this idea.
How does everyone feel about it?
We will discuss this on the conference call on Monday night, but be encouraged to comment
on it here or on our Facebook group page.
Yours in Federationism,
