The Envisioning Youth Empowerment (EYE) Retreat is a weeklong summer youth
camp sponsored by The Governor Morehead School Alumni Association.  The
mission of the EYE Retreat is to provide an opportunity for youth with
visual impairments to experience post secondary settings (college, work,
etc) through real world experiences, mentorship, and advocacy.

The EYE Retreat is seeking qualified individuals to apply for the position
of Assistant Coordinator.  This position is a contract time limited part
time position with a total stipend of $200.00.  No benefits are offered.

Position Title:  Assistant Coordinator
Reports to:  Program Coordinator
Consults with:  Associate Coordinator
Location:  Tele-commuting March to July and Raleigh during the weeklong
program.

Main Duties:  Assists Program Coordinator and Associate Coordinator to
develop, implement, and evaluate programming for the 2013 EYE Retreat.

Specific Roles:  1.  Communicates with participants prior to and during the
EYE Retreat.  2.  Assists the senior group leader with supervision of group
leaders.  3.  Responds to minor policy and/or behavior violations.  4.
Provides supervision for participants as assigned.   5.  Enforces and
teaches appropriate policies.  6.  Fills in for group leaders as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:  1.  Must be available throughtout the weeklong
EYE Retreat.  2.  Must be able to stay on campus in dorm style housing for
the entire length of the program.  3.  Good communication skills.  4.
Responsibility and good role model.  5.  Flexible and fair.   6.  College
experience preferred.

Term:  This position is available March 2013 to August 2013.  Applicants
should expect to spend about one to two hours a week on duties from March
to June.  July and August hours increase to several per week (excluding the
weeklong program in which duties require weeklong presence).

Compensation:  $200.00 total stipend.
