Minutes for Conference Call for April 8  2013

Hello everyone hope that all of you are doing well. It is almost time
for school to ve over for the year! Thanks to everyone who came to our
call tonight!

First, President’s report: Greensboro seminar is next Saturday April
the 13! Everything is ready. Some of the topics we are going to cover
are
Technology,
Transition to college
Networking withen the blind community
NFB philosophy
Self-defense
Accessible sports
Second, First Vice President’s  report: Fundraising After the
Greensboro seminar is done we are going to focus on raising money for
NCABS future business.
Third, Secretary’s report: The National Association of Blind Students
had their conference call yesterday. The topic was NFB centers. These
centers are build to train blind indivisuals who need skills such like
Braille, technology, mobility, and independent living skils. There are
three different centers around the country.
Louisiana Center for the Blind, BLIND, Inc. (Blindness: Learning in
New Dimensions) Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Colorado Center for the

Fourth, Treasurer's Report We have about 2553.34 we hope to start
raising money after thee Greensboro seminar is done.
Fifth, The  National Convention is going to take place on July the
first to the sixth at Orlando Florida. To find out more go to
www.nfb.org/convention  We agreed to have 600 dollars for the members
of NCABS who might want to go. Please let Alan know by the end of May
if you will like to go.
Sixth, State Convention: is going to be at Fayetteville. To find out
more go to www.nfbofnc.org and join us there!
 Seventh, Logo NCABS needs your help! We are trying to come out with a
logo. If you would like to be part of this contest contact Alan and go
for it! Good luck!
Eighth, A  survey is going to be sent out for all of us around the
middle of May. The goal is to find out what you will all like to
change or see new. It is your time to speek up and give us new ideas.
NCABS is here for you and it is make up of you! Do not be afraid to
say what you want to see. We want to hear what you have to say! Thanks
we hope to see you at the Greensbro seminar next Saturday!
