Everyone:
Post script to the e-mail below. I forgot to mention that it is doubly important to contact Representative Butterfield because he is on the Bipartisan Disabilities Committee.
My humblest apologies,
Sharon Newton

Subject: Please send e-mails and calls to Rep. Betterfield about (H.R. 831). Details below!
Hello Everyone!
We need your help with the following legislation. Every call and e-mail counts.
H. R. 831 (The Fair Wages for Worker with Disabilities Act of 2013) will repeal Section 14© of the Fair Labor Standards Act which authorizes Special Wage Certificates that permit employers to pay workers with disabilities subminimum wages, simply and only because the worker has a disability.
Please call Representative G. K. Butterfield Jr.’s office (202-225-3101) or e-mail dennis.sills at mail.house.gov to ask Representative Butterfield to co-sponsor H.R. 831. Please remind whoever you speak with to have Representative Butterfield contact Scot McIvaney in Representative Gregg Harper’s office to sign on as a co-sponsor.
For e-mails you can simply use the Subject line and ask that Representative Butterfield co-sponsor H.R. 831 (The Fair Wages for Workers with Disabilities Act of 2013) If you have been affected by subminimum wages or know of someone who has please briefly mention this in your e-mail or call.
Thank you all for your hard work. We understand everyone is busy, however, getting enough co-sponsors for H.R. 831 to enable it to move through the legislative process is crucial and when we get it passed into law, it will change many thousands of lives for the better.
If you have questions please call Anil Lewis at 410-659-9314 or e-mail him at alewis at nfb.org
