[Ncabs] Myrtle Beach blind bowlers trip

 The 17th annual CBA Tournament and shootout will take place the
weekend of October 24-27 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The host
hotel for the tournament is the Crown Reef Resort. The host bowling
center is Surfside Bowling Center. The staff and management of both
facilities are excited about our return to the South Carolina coast.
We would like to bring as many bowlers and guests to Myrtle Beach as
possible. The room rate at the Crown Reef Resort is $79 or $89
depending on the size of the suite you reserve. There is an extra
person charge beyond the second person of $10. No meals are included
in the rate. To reach the hotel for reservations, please call
843-626-8077. When reserving your room, provide the staff with group
code 5679. Special note: a one night deposit is due upon reserving
your room. This deposit is refundable as long as you cancel your
reservation with 2 weeks’ notice. This is the same arrangement we
experienced in 2010 when using this hotel. As an extra perk, all rooms
are ocean front and all rooms have kitchenettes. Let’s spread the word
and bring a large crowd to the Atlantic shore of South Myrtle. The
room rates quoted above are available from the 22nd of October through
the 30th, just in case you are interested in making a vacation of this
trip. Cost for the tournament is $40, which includes singles, doubles,
and team competition. The shootout is an additional $20. If an
individual wishes to bowl in only certain events, they may pay $13.50
per event (singles, doubles, or teams).



The tournament weekend schedule is as follows: Hospitality at the
hotel will be held Friday evening from 6 p.m. until midnight.
Registration for the tournament begins at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, with
opening ceremonies at 8:45 a.m. This will be followed by 3 games of
team competition. On Saturday afternoon the CBA Shootout, a scratch
competition, will be held beginning at 1:30 p.m. Bowlers will return
to the lanes on Sunday morning for singles and doubles events before
heading home. Bowling will begin on Sunday at 9 a.m. with a second
squad starting at 12:15 p.m. During the evening on Saturday bowlers
will gather at the Ocean Reef Conference Center for the annual CBA
Auction beginning at 6:30 p.m. and a dance beginning at approximately
9 p.m. Since 2006 at our 10th anniversary tournament in Greensboro CBA
has hosted an annual auction prior to the dance on Saturday evening.
Wonderful items are already starting to come in. We encourage all
leagues to bring or send items that can be used as auction selections
or as door prizes. Let’s all work together to make this Myrtle Beach
experience our best tournament ever!
