> This is Melody Roane from the Virginia Rehabilitation Center for the Blind and Vision Impaired in Richmond, VA. We are hiring three individuals who are successful college students or young professionals to serve as mentors for our summer youth program, Learning Independence, Feeling Empowered! (LIFE.) If you are selected to be a mentor, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience to prepare you for your career choice, and you will get to take part in confidence-building activities such as whitewater rafting, high rope adventure course, zip lining, improvisation training, etc. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented instructors in the Field and learn from them. You will work with up to twenty-two blind high school students from around the state of Virginia who are eager to be encouraged and inspired by you.
