Subject: FW: MATBUS Improvement Survey Information

Greetings,

Here in Fargo, MAT Bus is conducting surveys to collect data/feedback from
the public as a requirement to complete their 5-year plan to improve public
transportation. Although the survey focusses on fixed route buses,
paratransit requirements are based on fixed route service available to the
general public. For example, if the fixed route buses begin service at 7am,
then paratransit is required to begin service at 7am, if fixed route
service ends at 11pm, then paratransit ends at 11pm etc. Some of the
questions on the survey ask about service times, days of the week, regions
of the area and pricing. Here in Fargo/Moorhead, we do not have fixed route
service on Sunday, so if MAT bus begins offering Sunday fixed route service,
then our paratransit service on Sunday would not be so limited. What I am
saying is please do not disregard participating in the survey if you do not
currently utilize the fixed route service because more service on fixed
route could result in more paratransit service.

I just completed the on-line survey, which is user friendly with JAWS and
seems to be fully accessible. It took me less than 10 minutes to complete.

The on line survey wil only be available between February 9th through the
14th.

To participate in the survey, go to:

www.mapbus.com

The survey link is on the home page.

Please pass this information on to anyone you think may be willing to
participate.

The original email message with attached poster in PDF format is below. I
scanned the poster and pasted it below.

Thanks so much.

MATBUS will be conducting a survey on all routes February 9-14, 2015. Data
gathered from the surveys will be used to help develop a new Five Year
Transit Development Plan to improve transportation services throughout the
F-M metro.

Why is this plan so important? It can help:

. Determine how to implement new ideas and fix current issues over
the next five years

. Examine coverage gaps in existing routes

. Improve existing routes

. Increase ridership and frequency

. Develop new routes

. Help your clients get where they need to go!

Attached is a poster that you can post within your agency or forward to
others to whom you think it would be helpful.

Thank you for your help in gathering this data with us!
