Jesse, I just wanted to follow up about the door prize that you offered
today. I guess in our little group, door prizes really aren't drawn, I try
to put them with the best people I can, especially the ones like yours. I
sat with Melinda all day and got to know her a bit and she has lost her
vision as an adult and I think she is finally coming to a point of dealitng
with it. She was telling me that she had signed up to come to our convention
before she realized that the Insight meeting fell on the same day and it was
going to be focused on how to use the white cane so she was kind of
disappointed that she was going to miss that but she had already paid for
her lunch. Apparently she has had no training at all even to use a cane but
she may be coming to a point of needing that sort of thing as well as
whatever else she may ask for. I just felt she was a prime candidate for
being open to some training and when I gave the door prize to her she was
really happy about it.

As a side note, she wasted no time getting out when we were going to start
the business meeting, but that's ok. I just had to kind of chuckle about it.
