RE: Our September Meeting is two Monday's away

TOPIC: Join us for a visit with Charli Saltzman. Her new position is being
the lead provider of services NCBVI has for older blind Nebraskans. Note,
she is not a new staffer of the Commission, having served in several prior
work capacities: a volunteer, a paid part-time contractor for various
Commission programs and filling in for staff on medical leave, and more.
Most recently she held a fulltime position in NCBVI's Training Center, as a
teacher of Braille. She herself is blind from birth and is a dog guide user.
Let us learn about her teaching interests and specialties, and her
philosophy of instructing blindness skills. We can share what we know and
feel about the needs and learning characteristics of the older blind.  I
know that some of us have known Charli for years, but hey. think of what a
great time we can jointly have by having a straightforward and respectful
sharing of who we are and what we know and believe.
