Greetings Convention Attendees!

It's time to spring into action! Convention starts in 2 days, 21 hours and
49 minutes!

The latest agenda and exhibitor packet are included as attachments to this
email. If you selected electronic as your agenda choice, please be sure and
keep these documents for your review. Extra agendas will not be available
at convention. Additionally this information can be found on our

Convention Page. <http://www.ne.nfb.org/2023>

All registrants must come to the registration area to pick up your
registration packet. Even if you selected electronic documents, you must
pick up your registration packet which contains your name badge and meal
tickets.

Registration will be open just outside the Renaissance Room on the Mezzanine
Level during the welcome reception Thursday evening. It will also be
available Friday morning and Friday afternoon at the Lower-Level
Registration Desk.

It is important that you wear your name badge to all parts of the
convention. Plus, you will be able to access information from your name
badge which will be explained below.

Meal tickets are required to enter any of the meals. Make sure you have
your meal ticket in hand when attending the luncheons, the student event, or
the banquet. Access will not be given to those who do not have a meal
ticket.

Thanks to an in-kind donation from WayAroundR, WayTags are available at this
convention. These are small NFC dot stickers placed on the front of your
name badge. Near Field Communication (NFC) allows data to be transferred
from one device to another such as when using Apple Pay or Google Pay on
your mobile device. In this case the NFC is used to transmit the
information stored on the WayTag to your WayAround app on your smart phone.

These WayTags include information on the convention such as the agenda and
restaurant menus.

All you need to get started is the free WayAround mobile app for iOS or
Android!

Download WayAround on the App Store
<https://apps.apple.com/us/app/wayaround-tag-and-scan/>

Download WayAround on the Google Play Store
<https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wayaround.wayaround&pcamp
aignid=MKT-Other-global-all-co-prtnr-py-PartBadge-Mar2515-1&pli=1>

Once you download the app you can create an account or continue as a guest.
An account is not needed to access the WayTags at this convention.

Once you access the main screen just click on the "read" button and hold
your phones screen near the WayTag on your name badge. You may need to hold
your phone at different angles dependent on the model of phone you have.

Once you hear a noise or feel it vibrate just swipe to the right to access
the information. The agenda is broken up by day and the menus by the
Cornhusker Cafe breakfast menu and the Miller Time Pub food and drink menus.

For more information on the

WayAround <https://www.wayaround.com/> R

line of products ask J.J. Meddaugh with A. T. Guys and pick up a set of
WayTags to use at home or work!

If you used the WayTags during this convention please send an email to

info at ne.nfb.org <mailto:info at ne.nfb.org>

With your comments. This way we can send all feed back to the WayAround
team. We appreciate the in-kind donation of the Way Tags during this
convention!

Safe travels and see you soon in the Star City!

Sincerely,

The National Federation of the Blind of Nebraska knows that blindness is not
the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
