Greetings Federationists across Nebraska: 

 

If you have seen this notice and it said the price of hotel rooms at the
Monument Inn in Gering was just $19,95, alas it is no longer 1924 but a
whole century later. That was a misprint and I apologize for any
inconvenience it may have caused. This notice includes the correct price for
rooms at the Monument Inn and Suites. 

 

We are pleased to report there is great interest in attending the 53rd
annual convention of the National Federation of the Blind of Nebraska. So
much interest in fact that the Cobblestone Hotel is now full, having given
us more than the number of rooms in our block. Worry not because we also
have a block of rooms next door at the Monument Hotel. The cost is higher at
the Monument, but it is closer to the Civic Center where our convention will
take place. The majority of the rooms at the Monument have been set aside
for the NFB of Nebraska. As of noon today there were still about 25 rooms
remaining available. 

What you should know: 

*       The cost of rooms at the Monument is $119.95 + tax. 

*       The Monument like the Cobblestone, includes breakfast with your
room. 

*       They are planning to double the number of people on staff so someone
should always be available to assist you at your request. 

*       All Monument rooms have queen-sized beds. 

*       A single room will have 1 bed, a couch that makes into a sleeper bed
and a kitchenet. 

*       A double room has 2 beds and a chair. 

*       The Monument hotel does not have an elevator but they are setting
aside as many first-floor rooms as possible for people with ambulatory
disabilities who need reasonable accommodation.
