It was created in 1974, as an option for blind people to get their newspapers and magazines read. Now it is mostly used by seniors. They are experimenting with podcasting. In addition to receivers, the service is available on the internet. Ryan is hoping to have more programs relating to blindness, and some ideas such as interviews were suggested.
