So much interest in fact that the Cobblestone Hotel is now full, having given us more than the number of rooms in our block. Worry not because we also have a block of rooms next door at the Monument Hotel. The cost is higher at the Monument, but it is closer to the Civic Center where our convention will take place. The majority of the rooms at the Monument have been set aside for the NFB of Nebraska. As of noon today there were still about 25 rooms remaining available. <o:p></o:p></p><p>What you should know: <o:p></o:p></p><p><span style='font-family:Symbol'>·</span><span style='font-family:"Courier New"'> </span> The cost of rooms at the Monument is $19.95 + tax. <o:p></o:p></p><p><span style='font-family:Symbol'>·</span><span style='font-family:"Courier New"'> </span> The Monument like the Cobblestone, includes breakfast with your room. <o:p></o:p></p><p><span style='font-family:Symbol'>·</span><span style='font-family:"Courier New"'> </span> They are planning to double the number of people on staff so someone should always be available to assist you at your request. <o:p></o:p></p><p><span style='font-family:Symbol'>·</span><span style='font-family:"Courier New"'> </span> All Monument rooms have queen-sized beds. <o:p></o:p></p><p><span style='font-family:Symbol'>·</span><span style='font-family:"Courier New"'> </span> A single room will have 1 bed, a couch that makes into a sleeper bed and a kitchenet. <o:p></o:p></p><p><span style='font-family:Symbol'>·</span><span style='font-family:"Courier New"'> </span> A double room has 2 beds and a chair. <o:p></o:p></p><p><span style='font-family:Symbol'>·</span><span style='font-family:"Courier New"'> </span> The Monument hotel does not have an elevator but they are setting aside as many first-floor rooms as possible for people with ambulatory disabilities who need reasonable accommodation.<o:p></o:p></p><p>If you have questions about this accommodation or anything else relating to the upcoming convention, please reach out to me via email, text or phone-call.
