For those who are… I am thinking it would be great if you went into this multi-day event with the idea/commitment to seek out other Senior Division members and jointly work the crowd with the intent to talk to people about what our division is all about! Press the fact, our calls are the best opportunity throughout the year to learn from experienced blind seniors! Share what some of our topics are, and that we will always take their questions and give back what we know are the best answers; who knows the best are the people who live it.

Take names and contact information. If you have a recorder, record them giving their pone# and whatever else they wish to say. If you cannot figure out how to make your cell phone a recorder, and/or if you have no other way to take down their info, try this: if you and they both have a cell phone, have one of you call the other person, and then you have two options to communicate your phone#; leave a message, giving contact information. Second, if you are at the stage in your knowledge or use of your phone and cannot use the voice messaging part of your phone, you can still get their phone number in your recent calls screen. Well… maybe the recent calls screen will also be a function that you are needing to learn about, and the new potential member is a great motivator to learn this feature!

And of course… payatention and learn, learn, learn!

Respectfully yours,

Robert Leslie Newman

NFBN Senior Division, President
