This is your chance to gain financial assistance, connect with other blind Nebraskans and grow as a leader in your community.

Who Can Apply?

If you’re legally blind, a Nebraska resident and a student anywhere from a high school senior entering college in the fall of 2025 to a graduate student working on your PhD., we want to hear from you!

Our scholarships are merit-based, recognizing academic excellence, leadership and community involvement.

What’s at Stake?

*	First Place Scholarship: $1,500 from the National Federation of the Blind of Nebraska.
*	Two additional Scholarships: Sponsored by the Omaha Chapter, Lincoln Chapter, and the Nebraska Association of Blind Students.
*	Experience the NFBN State Convention!

Finalists are required to attend the 2025 NFBN state Convention March 27-30 in Omaha, paid for by the NFBN. This convention is not just a requirement—it’s an incredible opportunity to meet successful blind leaders, expand your network and learn from blind individuals.

Hear from Our 2024 Scholarship Winner:
