Hello all
Please find attached a copy of the survey as well as a link for a
survey for the State-wide Independent Living Council (SILC); this will
inform them on which issues are important to focus on for all
disabilities within the state of NH for the coming 3-year term.

It would be infinitely helpful if you could take a few minutes to fill
it out and either send it back or submit it on the surveymonkey
website.

Thank you for taking the time to do this, and I hope you have a very
happy and productive new year!

Sincerely

Andrew Harmon

The SILC is beginning its work on the development of the 2017-2020
State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL). Below is a schedule for the
public forums, but more importantly a survey monkey for individuals
to complete to help better inform the development of the SPIL.

While the forums are important to the process, the survey is
essential. It would be most appreciated by the SPIL Team, if you
would provide the link to your network of vendors, providers and VR
customers, and to any entities that you have been assigned to
represent NHVR, such as the DD Council, the Commission on Deafness and
Hard of Hearing Issues, the State Advisory Committee on Special
Education, Governor's Commission on Disability, Governor's Task
Force on Transportation, Autism Council, State Rehabilitation
Council, etc.

Thank you, and Best Wishes for a Happy, Healthy and Joyous New Year.

Joan

Subject: SPIL Survey and Listening Sessions

Hi everyone, here is an update on where things stand relative to the
SPIL Survey and Listening Sessions.

The Survey
The online survey is up and running and it can be available as long as
we wish it to be. Folks can complete the survey by going to this
link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NHSPILsurvey If you find any
grievous errors in the survey that must be fixed please let me know.
The key now of course is to get a lot of consumers/families to
complete the survey. Please spread the link to the survey far and
wide through any channels you have available.

Listening Sessions
The dates for three listening sessions are set as follows:

Littleton
January 5, 2016 (Snow date January 12th) 2:30pm - 5:30pm
Granite State Independent Living, 76 Main St., Littleton, NH 03561

Portsmouth
January 20, 2016 (Snow date January 27th) 2:30pm - 5:30pm
Community Campus - Art Room, 100 Campus Drive, Portsmouth, NH 03801

Concord
January 26, 2015 (Snow date February 2nd) 2:30pm - 5:30pm
Granite State Independent Living, 21 Chenell Drive, Concord, NH 03301

I have attached a copy of a notice of the meetings to share with
consumers, families, and the public. Please share this information
widely through any channels you have available. I am concerned about
attendance at the Littleton meeting because the date is coming up so
soon. If anyone has networks up north please blast this out and
encourage folks to attend!

GSIL will provide accessible transportation to the sessions and PCA
services for those who request it. NEDHHS is arranging sign language
interpreters for the sessions.

I think that's all the information for now. Please let me know if you
have questions.

Happy New Year everyone!
