[New-york-news] Travelling to NYC

Hello,

I have never travelled to NYC on my own and will be late in Feb.  I have a few questions....

I will arrive to NYC at JFK and will be going to the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge. What is the best transportation mode to travel this route other than taxi?  Is there a direct subway line, or will I need to transfer? Is there a shuttle bus that goes from airports to hotels?  What about paratransit?  Should I call them?  I am a paratransit rider in a rural area where they do not give us a paratransit ID.  I did read somewhere that I need one in a larger city, if so, how do I get one?  Any ways, any help would be great.  Thank you.
