Intro to LinkedIn with Assistive Technology: 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Discover how this social network for professionals can help you find a job,
explore career options, network with colleagues in your field, and keep
current with ideas and trends in your industry. You’ll learn how to:

v  Create a LinkedIn profile;

v  Connect with people you know professionally;

v  Search for companies and positions;

v  Join groups and read posts relevant to your field;

v And understand how to use the desktop site and mobile app with your
assistive technology of choice.

Intro to Google Apps: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Google offers a suite of free productivity tools including Docs (a word
processor), Sheets (a spreadsheet tool), Drive (a file manager), Hangouts
(a chat program), Calendar, and more. These tools are increasingly used by
colleges and workplaces as well as by individuals. Google has made
substantial improvements to the accessibility of these tools, and more
fixes and features for accessibility continue to happen as the services
evolve. This workshop will:

v  Show you how to create and manage a Google account;

v inform you about how to use Google Apps with your assistive technology
of choice on a PC, Mac or mobile device;

v highlight the most popular features of Docs, Drive, Sheets, Talk and
Calendar;

v empower you to share what you’re working on in Apps with friends and
colleagues;

v and help you find documentation so you can take your Google Apps
proficiency to the next level.
