Patrons and friends,

I’m sharing a community request for design feedback that will help shape
the accessibility of a museum exhibition. The museum educators working on
this project are primarily looking for participants who are blind or
visually impaired, but sighted folks with accessibility experience,
particularly in museums, are also welcomed to get in touch. Pasted below
are the request itself and the link that lets you sign up for the date
you’d like to attend. Please bring your questions directly to the event
organizers; I’m just a participant, and don’t know much more than what I’m
writing here.

Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum located at

2 East 91st Street
<https://maps.google.com/?q=2+East+91st+Street&entry=gmail&source=g>

 in NYC

is piloting a new touch tour of the exhibition Joris Laarman Lab: Design in

the Digital Age (

https://www.cooperhewitt.org/channel/joris-laarman-lab/).

The Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum is looking for participants who can share
feedback and help to grow the program. There are three upcoming dates on
which we’ll be sharing our program and looking for expertise from people
that are blind or have low vision, and from peers in the field who have
successfully developed touch tour programs, to best guide us before opening

registration to the general public. Please join us if you’re comfortable
with experiencing a pilot program, and sharing feedback on your experience
so we can iterate and grow the program for a future

public execution.
