Another month, another great session of climbers pulling hard and reaching new heights (literally!). The seated harness got a lot of use as Dom and Sheila took turns ascending the line. The fixed plate was raised to its highest point, pushing the climbers’ stamina and drive. Take a look below to see pictures of our climbers working hard and putting in a great effort. There is also an opportunity to sign up as a volunteer for our special session with VISIONS summer camp on Monday July 23rd. Lastly, see how our ACG team performed at nationals in the motivation corner. Will you be joining us in July?

We will be hosting a special session with VISIONS Summer Camp on Monday July 23rd. Last year, we belayed for over twenty visually impaired climbers, and we are expecting a similar number this year. If you will be available to belay and help give beta, please sign up in the link below.

Motivation Corner

On June 23rd 19 climbers from ACG competed in USA Climbing: Adaptive Nationals. Of over 85 participants, 10 of our athletes were selected to be part of Team USA. They will be traveling in September to Innsbruck, Austria to compete in the IFSC Paraclimbing World Championships. Shout outs to Phillip Kaminski of NYC for placing in the top three for the male leg amputee category!

Additionally, many of our athletes need financial assistance for registering, traveling, and lodging in Austria. If you can help at all, please consider donating to our Out of this World (Championship) Fundraiser in the link below. Any little bit helps, but if you donate $250 or more you will receive and Adidas apparel item valued between $300-$650 retail.

What we’re about?

ACG-Valhalla is a monthly meet-up of adaptive climbers and volunteers, sharing a love for rock climbing.

We work together at each session to make improvements at our favorite sport. Our expanding community is always open to welcoming new climbers of varying abilities.

Want to get involved?

If you're an adaptive climber, register and join a session! There is no need to be concerned about your capabilities; we have adaptive gear to help any person get up the wall. Sessions only cost $10 which includes a day pass, the necessary gear, and dedicated belayers.

If you're a willing volunteer, register and join a session! We ask that all volunteers are belay certified by the Cliffs. As an added bonus, volunteers get a free day pass for the day of the session.
