Hello Everyone, 

 

As you may or may not. Know, The Big Apple Circus has for over 30 years presented special performances for the Blind and Lo vision community, schools and families.

For the second year we are hosting an dinner and show experience. The dinner will begin at 5 pm, all sighted people will wear blindfolds and be treated to the same world class touch tour and audio descriptive experience with which we honor our Blind and Lo vision guests. Our goal is to create a visceral understanding and respect for the depth of perception primarily reserved for those whose sight is not their primary access to the world around them.

 

Would you be so kind as to help me “get the word out” about this extraordinary evening. There is a ticket link on the flyer. We do have a small fund for financial assistance which we are reserving only for those who are actually blind and would like to share this experience with their families and friends.  Those in need of assistance should contact me. 

 

Those who might be willing to support them and donate to this fund should also contact me!  We are delighted to shout thanks to the rooftops to publicly acknowledge their kindness—or stay quiet if this is what they prefer. You will see on the flyer, the founder of our fund is Punkin Futz. They create accessible items for and by people with all abilities. We will also have a display and collaboration with the clothing company “Two Blind Brothers”  Soft shirts on the way!
