Attached is a flier about a neat workshop that NYAGDU is offering on Friday 10/18/2019 in the Buffalo NY area. If you live in or near Buffalo NY or know handlers of guide or service dogs living, working or attending college in that area, please share this with them. There will be demos of reporting service dog denials through the Uber and Lyft apps, mobile phone and PC demonstrations of logging trip data for the NFB’s Ride Share Testing which is not just for NFB members or even just for guide dog users, but is for all service dog handlers, role play opportunities to practice advocacy strategies from gentle diplomacy to assertive education, to aggressive, but legal/safe insistence, and everything in between. Also we will demo the NAGDU app. Which compiles federal and state service dog access laws all in one place, especially useful during an access issue. Please post to social media as well.
