Hi all:

We hope you are well and safe. We are pleased to report that our Newsline
funding legislation has passed both the Assembly and the Senate. This is a
great victory and is the result of everyone's hard work. However, there is
one more step. It must be signed by the Governor to become law.

As we did last year with the Blind Persons' Right to Parent Act, we need to
let the Governor know how important this legislation is to us. We urge
everyone to write your own letter expressing the importance of Newsline in
your life. You don't have to be a good writer.

If you use Newsline in connection with your work, school, or even leisure
activities, state that. If you are the parent of a blind child, indicate
that, and explain how Newsline helps your child.

We ask that you complete your letters by Friday, July 1, and send copies to
Mike Robinson and me. We will compile a package to forward to the Governor.
Unless you know her personally, we ask that you not write or call the
Governor's office.

Our email and regular -mail contact information is provided below. Thank
you all for your continued hard work.
