Get ready to bust some guide dog myths, with the New York Association Of
Guide Dog Users.  This seminar will be especially useful to new and
prospective guide dog handlers, and anyone wishing to learn more about Guide
Dogs, although it should provide some great discussion and a bit of humor
for those who are seasoned guide dog handlers. Bring some of the myths you
have heard about Guide Dogs for the discussion portion as well.

Blind Swag is the theme and the NYS Diversity Equity & Inclusion Group is
inviting everyone to come and get your swag on?  Guest Speaker, Shawn
Callaway, President of the District of Columbia affiliate, will be holding a
town hall to discuss the pertinence of the newest division to the National
Federation of the Blind, The National Association of Black Leaders (NABL).
We will also be unpacking our personal ideas about whether the  National
Federation of the Blind is really addressing the diverse needs of its
members.  This meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 18th at 7pm sharp.

The New York Parents of Blind Children is proud to announce our 2022
Convention seminar! Please join us on Wednesday, October 19th for this
virtual event. As always, our program will provide creative learning
opportunities aimed at affirming the reality that our blind children can
realize their dreams; and that as parents and educators we must set high
expectations for their success. Our presenters will explore aspects of
working, learning, and thriving as a blind artist.

This action-packed seminar, will also include our annual business meeting
where members can participate in elections, and receive important updates
about our division.
