Hi All,

Thank you for your hard work during the Washington Seminar a few weeks
ago advocating for our legislative initiatives. We received word
recently that Representative Jan Schakowsky will be introducing the
Medical Device Nonvisual Accessibility Act as early as next Tuesday,
February 21. Because of this development, we need to keep up the
continued momentum begun during Washington Seminar. Our goal is to
build the number of originating cosponsors for this legislation.

We apologize for the short notice, but we need your assistance by
having your affiliate members contact their representative in the
House tomorrow and encouraging them to be originating cosponsors.
Please have your representatives contact Gidget Benitez from
Representative Schakowsky's office at gidget.benitez at mail.house.gov to
sign on as an original cosponsor.

If uncertain who your member in the House of Representatives might be,
you can use the following link to look them up by entering in your zip
code:

You may reach any member of the House of Representatives by calling
the Capitol Switchboard 202-224-3121 and ask to be connected to your
Representative's office.

We greatly appreciate your efforts and the work you do to help pass
the legislative priorities of the National Federation of the Blind! If
you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at our National
office via 410-659-9314, ext. 2210 or jyoung at nfb.org.
Thanks,
