As the subject line says, this is extremely time sensitive. If you are attending National convention this year for the first time in person, or if you know anyone who is, it is crucial that you, or they, apply for the Jernigan scholarship. This scholarship is for first time convention attendees only. So to be clear, if you qualify For this scholarship, and you don’t apply, and then you attend in future, you will no longer be eligible. That is, it’s literally like leaving money on the table, throwing money in the garbage. Applications need to be submitted today or tomorrow, on Sunday at the absolute latest. Additionally, I need to know that you are applying, in order to write the appropriate recommendation letter. I must submit these letters prior to the deadline, so you cannot simply submit your application, and then wait for the national office to notify me of the individuals who have applied for this particular scholarship. So again that is, fill out your application today or tomorrow, Sunday, at the latest, and call or text me as soon as possible to let me know that you will be filling out this application. Lastly, in the interest of clarity and transparency, our affiliate will be providing few, if any, financial assistance awards to any of our members to attend the national convention, due to our current financial situation. Therefore, if you need assistance in attending the national convention, that will have to come from your chapter, your friends and family, or if you qualify, from the Jernigan scholarship. if you qualify, please do not miss out on this opportunity.
