SCIENCE SLEUTHS: UNLOCKING MYSTERIES WITH STEM2U

A mystery needs solving--and it's up to you to crack the case!

This year's STEM2U theme, Science Sleuths: Unlocking Mysteries with STEM2U,
invites blind and low-vision students to become forensic investigators as
they explore the fascinating world of forensic science.

Participants will examine evidence, analyze clues, test materials, identify
fingerprints and DNA patterns, and use critical thinking to solve a
mystery. Along the way, they'll learn accessible, nonvisual science
techniques that demonstrate STEM (science, engineering, technology, and
mathematics) is engaging, inclusive, and accessible to everyone.

REGISTRATION OPTIONS

We're continuing to expand our reach with a flexible in-home e-learning
option for families who may not have a program nearby. Families who choose
this option will receive an electronic version of the complete curriculum.

Register to receive the online curriculum and get ready to investigate,
experiment, and solve mysteries through an unforgettable STEM adventure!
Visit the STEM2U E-Learning form [2] to register.

This provides a wonderful opportunity to complete the program at home or in
collaboration with your child's Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments
(TVI/TBVI/TBS), making STEM2U an adaptable and enriching learning
experience wherever you are.

ABOUT NATIONAL FEDERATION OF THE BLIND EDUCATION INITIATIVES

The National Federation of the Blind (NFB) knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines the future of blind and low-vision youth.
Through our extensive education programs, we introduce blind children to
new ideas, expose teachers and families to our positive philosophy of
blindness, and empower blind youth to reach their full potential.

For more information about our education programs, please contact us at
education at nfb.org or 410-659-9314, extension 2418.
