Hi my name is Ethan Graef, and I’m a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Arkansas. I’m on a project team where we’re designing an advanced white cane that uses ultrasonic proximity sensors to detect impending obstacles, to aid in better mobility of the visually impaired. To make our product the most impactful and user friendly, we want to interview some people who are visually impaired by asking them questions about what aids they currently use, what pros and cons come with them, how much did they spend, etc. Is there anyone you could connect us to? We would just need 15 minutes of their time to answer a few of these questions. Whatever works best for them. Thank you so much for your time, and our team is excited to learn more from the visually impaired.
