Convention Awards
We presented several awards and scholarships honoring blind individuals and
organizations whose work benefits the blind community. Congratulations to
our award winners.
* Distinguished Educator of Blind Students: Dan Kelley of Ohio
* Blind Educator of the Year: Maurice Peret of Hawaii
* Dr. Jacob Bolotin Award winners: Casey Robertson, Dr. Mika Baugh,
Sam Seavey, and the NFB-NEWSLINER Indiana Television Show.
* Jacobus tenBroek Award winners: Julie Deden and Glen Gordon.
* NFB scholarship winners: Thirty students each received an $8,000
scholarship.
* Kenneth Jernigan Scholarship winner: Millie Rivera.
