Hello Federation Family,
I hope each of you are doing well and finding ways to stay cool and dry between the heat and rain. I wanted to take a moment to share a few important updates and keep everyone informed as we continue moving through several transition efforts across the affiliate.
Affiliate Updates
Our banking transition is underway, and I have been working closely with Bryson to update the signers on both the affiliate and chapter accounts. I am also in the process of transferring our P.O. box from Bentonville to Jonesboro so it will be more accessible.
Website Update
I am pleased to share that we have a new webmaster, Mr. Steve Cook. Mr. Cook oversees several other affiliate websites, as well as the National Association of Guide Dog Users, and he does excellent work. I am confident he will be a tremendous asset to our affiliate, and updates are already underway. If you notice any errors or outdated information on our website, please feel free to email me, and I will make sure those updates are passed along to Mr. Cook.
Next Affiliate Board Meeting
We will be discussing the 2027 state convention at our next affiliate board meeting on June 9, 2026, via Zoom. This meeting is open to everyone. If you have thoughts or suggestions for possible locations, I would be glad to receive them by email before the meeting.
Please note: The June 9 meeting is an affiliate board meeting only. There will be time on the agenda for comments, questions, and concerns. You are also welcome to email me any questions in advance that you would like addressed.
National Convention Delegates
We will also be discussing delegates for the national convention in Austin. If you are interested in becoming a delegate, please feel free to email me for more information. The main requirement is that you must be present for all general sessions, the board meeting, and the Resolutions Committee meeting.
