I am emailing<br class="">you to inform you of the projects we are involved in.<br class="">Every year, we participate in a community service project. This year,<br class="">we are partnering with the Ronald McDonald House in Maryland to<br class="">distribute blankets and to send encouraging messages to sick children<br class="">and their families. The blankets must be child safe, brand new, and<br class="">can be any size. The encouraging notes must be free of religious<br class="">themes and messages.<br class="">Another project we are working on is the Google Challenge. the purpose<br class="">of this challenge is to share the ways in which people who are blind<br class="">participate in community service. We encourage you and others in your<br class="">state affiliate of the NFB to share as many community service<br class="">projects/opportunities you have been involved in from January 2021<br class="">until June 30, 2021. Whoever has the most community service events<br class="">will have a chance to speak about your involvement in community<br class="">service at this year's national convention.<br class="">We are working on other projects as well.
