Hi,

Deb T, here is a link to an article by the author of the book. In it, he explains how to order. Basically, you choose the format, pay him by Paypall then he email you the file. Or ship it, if you choose hard copy Braille.

Tracy, that garden sound like a magnificent project!

Thank you Terry P. I have succeeded in several practice knitting but I’m sure I need more practice to really become comfortable recovering a dropped stitch. Like tinking a K2Tog. I did it again and again yet still miss it sometimes.

Yes, pearling is next. Not sure I’ll be ready in time for the snowman classes tho. It does sound interesting!

About the latch hook, yes I plan on getting one.

Happy crafting,

Sonya

Hi!

I'm on "staycation" and my mother in law was there all week. This meant a lot of knitting and talk of knitting. Plus, she is a wonderful woman and always a pleasure to have around.

She leaves tomorrow morning and tomorrow I'll read all the awesome successes of this thread.

.

For me, it was a very productive week, knitting wise!

- I finished my 20 inches Granny square that I made as a blanket for our cat. She loves it. I originally miscalculated and was doing it too big for the seat it was supposed to cover. But now it's perfect! :)

- I finally made the potato chip scarf of Chapter 2 of the Touch the Yarn book. I love it, already thinking of tweaking the pattern a bit to make it a tad longer. And make another one.

- I learned how to recover a dropped stitch that dropped one row. I know the theory of how to recover the stitch when it dropped several rows but didn't succeeded doing it. Yet. :) Still, I'm very pleased with the progress. My mother-in-law was impressed.

-

All that before re-learning to pearl. Pretty much the next step.

Thank you to all who helped me get this far. And the constant encouragements of others.

Happy crafting!

Sonya)

Good Morning Tracy, that garden sounds like it will be beautiful, and, one that the neighbors and neighborhood will enjoy as well as the birds, bees and butterflies. Let us know how it turns out and who comes to “visit” it.

It’s Successful Saturday! Have you started or finished a project, or achieved a goal? Share it with us and we’ll celebrate with you.

For a few months I’ve been working on a plan to convert almost all of my front lawn into a garden for birds and pollinators, full of flowers and ornamental grasses. I’ve figured out the design, and this last week I ordered most of the plants. It wasn’t cheap, but it will be beautiful for many years. My plants will arrive in about a month, and then I’ll arrange them and start putting them in the ground. I’m very excited about it.

Tracy
