Write me off list of general schedule when you’re around and I will figure a time that works. Thursday and Tuesdays in the afternoon are good generally. Weekends generally are good too.
I hate calendar conflicts! They’ve been ruling my life for too long. :-)

Yes! Hats are some thing that I think I could handle if I knew more. I think I can still wrap the yarn around the circular loom. Someone showed me like almost 10 years ago. But after that, I’m pretty lost.

Looking for traditional, Scottish or Irish patterns is really cool. I wish I had learned that young. I’ve seen some of the Norwegian stuff and it’s pretty intricate. Harder for example.

Hi Bernice and Tracy, and, I as well as I am of Irish Heritage as well as of English heritage. My Maternal Grandfather was from the fishing village of Penzance, Cornwall which is at the Southern most tip of England.
Grandfather learned to knit and to crochet from watching the fishermen as they mended their nets or talked about what they were knitting on to pass the time while out to sea and not busy hauling in the nets of fish or to tending to every day tasks on the fishing boats.
I also learned from watching my Maternal Aunts as they knitted or Crocheted many beautiful Irish items of sweaters or scarves.
My apologies for rambling on about some of my heritage, but, I have just inspired myself to try to find Irishman Fisherman, English and Scottish patterns of whatever I can find that is out there.
Would anyone care to join or to help me?
Has this group (either as the new NFB-Blind-Crafters group or the old Krafters Korner group ever done a Knit or Crochet Along?)

I would have loved to talk with the Irish people about the fisherman kknits. They are my favorite patterns for afghans.

I’m back. Thanks ReNae for watching the list while I was away. I see it was very quiet.
I’m pretty tired today, but tomorrow I’ll tell the group about the craft-related things I saw in Ireland.
