[NFB-Blind-Crafters] Irish wool

On another trip to Ireland, we took a tour of a woollen mill, and I asked
our guide about Irish wool. She said it tends to be rough. Maybe it's
because it has to repel a lot of rain.
It was very interesting to see the looms the mill uses to weave cloth.
I bought a very beautiful woven shawl. It's thick and soft, and has Celtic
knot patterns woven into it. It even has fringe.
There are lots of sheep around, at least in some places. I remember taking
my dog out at some gas stop and hearing sheep bleating not far away.
This time, I'll see if there are any yarn shops near where we are. It would
be fun to get some wool, or a lovely Irish pattern.

On Wednesday, I'll be taking off on a trip to Ireland. I'll be gone from
October 23 to November 2. I'll have very limited access to email, if any.
I've asked ReNae Anderson to keep an eye on the list in my absence, just in
case someone decides to get wild and crazy. Unlikely, I know.
