Tracy,

This is very interesting. Yes, it is incredible what blind people can
accomplish.

I hope your trip is exciting and enjoyable.

In May of 2018, Michael, my late husband, my niece and I were privileged
to spend ten days touring Ireland. Every minute was incredible. The people
were so friendly and cheerful.

I had my first taste of shepherd's pie and loved it. I tried to drink a
cup of sheep's milk. It was too strong for my taste. However, the cheese
was delicious.

I loved visiting Trinity College and seeing the Book of Kells.

One of Mike's ancestor's was married to the Uncle of Winston Churchill.
When their son was born, Prince Edward Albert and his wife Alexandria, sent
an engraved silver baby cup to the family, which lived in Curragh . We were
given a private tour of Curragh Church and the manor house (the manor house
was closed for the day), where we were allowed to hold the baby cup. During
the tour, our guide, Basil allowed me to touch and explore (with white
gloves on, of course!) the gold filigree design on the antique, Chinese
furniture. It was so intricate and beautiful. I felt so honored. We saw
the Shell House, which was created by a grieving Mother from shells, which
were sent to her by people all over the world.

There is so much beauty and history to be discovered on the Emerald Island.
Yes, the green grass truly gives this incredible island its nickname. I
could go on for several hours, but I think I should leave it for another
time.

My niece and I are planning an extended return visit.

Tracy, I agree that you should return with an extravagant amount of
beautiful yarn. Anything you create from it will be fantastic.

Mary K.

I'm so happy people are enjoying my video.

Just FYI, harping used to be an occupation for blind people in Ireland. The
most famous Irish harper, O'Carolan, was a blind person, as are some other
of the old great composers. It's great to learn a new tune and find out it
was composed by a blind person.
