Oh man, you sound like me. I don't think I have ever made anything exactly like the pattern. Or, I have followed the pattern until the end and took notes on what I wanted to change and frogged the whole thing and started over.

This is a big deal, since I ignored a lot of the pattern’s sleeve instructions and did what I thought would be more like what I want.  And, somewhat to my surprise, it seems to have worked.  Now all I have to do is make the second sleeve to match.  

What a drag, to have to make a whole other sleeve, but at least I have a template now.
