Congratulations, Sonia! It’s fun to add your own touch to a pattern, and make it yours.

Very cool, Tracy.
And wow, the phoenix sound gorgeous! I’m in awe of how creative and skilled some of us are. :)
A friend suggested I buy Knitting Barber chord. I tried making a lifeline with it and it’s so easy. And for the first time I was able to frog back to a lifeline and successfully start again from it.
A huge thank you to Tracy and Terry P. for the advices. I
I started a new scarf, this time for my mther in law. I took the pattern of the one I did before but made a few changes. Another first: my own touch on a pattern.
Cast on of 25 stitches. Beginning and end of 10 ribbing rows. Then stockinette, with the borders 5 stitches of seed stitch. That I also learned here. :)

Wow, good for you, Tracy!
I’m still working on the pile of projects I’ve been working on. There’s been a lot of sickness going around. I’m certain it’s touching your family as well.. the sickness of the week is the flu. I blasted the person who created Tamiflu because it is a blessing. I could be you and more miserable. I’m trying to use the little scraps to make knitted washcloths since most of ours have died. It’s good practice. There’s nothing else I’m really working on or have accomplished.
We will hopefully have a better report next Saturday!

It’s Successful Saturday! Have you started or finished a project, or achieved a goal? Share it with us and we’ll celebrate with you.
This weekend, I’ll finally finish the snowman square I started in the fall. It has a green border, a white snowman with some sparkly string, with a red hat. It took a while, but now it’s almost done. And that completes the unfinished knitting projects I had. The decks are clean; all my needles are empty, and I can start something new!
