[NFB-Blind-Crafters] Gluing a lid back together

What about a rubber band. You didn't say what size the box is. I am kind of
anut. If it got out of control, I could be a hoarder. I save the rubber
bands that come on celery, asparagus, and sometimes on fresh broccoli. They
are thick and great to hold the loops on the loom when making a potholder. I
save those tiny rubber bands that come on green onions, and a few times the
mail carrier has put giant rubber bands on something he or she is
delivering. Plus, I bought a variety package of them. I also save padded
envelopes, paper bags with and without handles, the fronts of greeting cards
for craft projects. After all, I can't see the pictures on the greeting
card, so, the alternative is to throw them away.

It would be interesting to know what others save to use in future craft
projects and do they actually use them, or are they just collecting?

Good luck,

Bernice

I do have bungy cords, but they're pretty long. But I'll give some thought
to whether I could use one, or perhaps something similar. Thanks.

Do you have bungy cords? That is what I would use. One time at a NFB picnic,
I won as part of a basket a box of a variety of sizes of bungy cords. I have
used them for some interesting things.

My dog decided it would be amusing to take the lid off a wooden box and chew
on it while I was in another room.

I can glue it back together, I think, but I'm not sure how to hold it
together until the glue dries. The only glue I have is craft glue, the kind
people here have recommended.

The lid is rounded on the top and has a rim that stands out from the base,
so that it fits well on the box.

Anyone know how I can hold the lid together while it dries?

Tracy
