After glueing your pieces together and making sure everything is aligned properly, use masking tape to tape around the entire lid. I would let it sit for 24 hours before removing just to make sure the glue is completely dry.

First of all and most importantly to me is the dog alright? I hope and pray that he or she didn’t get any splinters in his or her throat or mouth. Please keep a close eye on him or her, o k?
How about rubber bands to hold the lid together while it dries.

My dog decided it would be amusing to take the lid off a wooden box and chew on it while I was in another room.
I can glue it back together, I think, but I’m not sure how to hold it together until the glue dries. The only glue I have is craft glue, the kind people here have recommended.
The lid is rounded on the top and has a rim that stands out from the base, so that it fits well on the box.
Anyone know how I can hold the lid together while it dries?
Tracy
