Bernice, your idea of saving greeting cards to use in crafts is interesting,
and I too would like to know how people re-use stuff creatively.
I used to buy decorated holiday wreaths and save the decorations I liked
when it was time to take down the wreath. Now I buy plain wreaths and use
my saved stuff to decorate them the way I like. And I take apart the old
wreath and use the pine branches as mulch for my blueberries, which like an
acidic soil.
This also gives me a wreath ring, but I haven't figured out how to make my
own wreath yet. Making some kind of summer or spring wreath would be fun.
And, a good while ago I took a KK class on making plarn-a kind of craft
"yarn" made from old plastic bags. I used it to crochet a sit-upon mat,
which I still use.
I hope other people will share ways to re-use stuff for crafting.
Tracy
