[NFB-Blind-Crafters] Crochet pictures

I just saw a crochet kit for a throw featuring bees gathering nettar to
bring back to the hive to make honey.  It sounds right up my street, but I
wonder if I could tell any of the elements.  

Colorwork in knitting is all color, and I can't tell a thing about what it
actually looks like.  Is crochet any better, or is it still all about the
color?  

There are 4 colors:  black, taupe, yellow, and white, I think.  Don't know
if that matters or not.
