[NFB-Blind-Crafters] List mail problems

I use gmail as well, but I use Outlook to read and respond to emails. Fortunately I am still getting emails from this list, and most come into my inbox although one does go into my spam folder now and then. 

 

And on a crafting note, I’m still working on the scarf I’m knitting for my stepmom and another knitted scarf that I will either give to my cousin or donate.

Jolene, thanks so much for explaining the foibles of gmail.  I don’t use it and have no clue about it. 

I notice that most of the emails MS is blocking are from live.com, with a few from AOL and Hotmail, for whatever that’s worth.  

Hopefully MS will stop this nonsense soon.

gmail has funky filters set up to send things to different folders because it thinks they are promotions or social media emails. i have found so many of the list's emails in these other folders as well as in spam. 

there are 3 tabs above the message list

primary, social, and promotions

 

you can activate any of these to be presented with a list of emails gmail has filtered out in its infinite wisdom.

i really hate this feature 

they came out with it when they redid the gmail platform a few years ago. it is really annoying and i have missed many important emails because of it.

 

also some of the list emails end up in spam so i have to check that folder periodically.
