What a terrible story, Cindy!
A few years ago, my tub, in my condo, started dripping!
We discovered there was no shut off valve!
I wanted a walk in shower, but had not intended to put it in, yet, just fix the tub!
Ended up having to put the shower, in.
This was shortly after putting in new windows!
Got it all payed off!
Goody!
Terry

No, it is a brand new home constructed May 2024. My mother and I were going to buy it to live in and we were so close as in they called wanting to set a closing date 3 days before she went into the hospital. It all had to be redone after she passed but short story is that they were just lazy when they constructed it. There are nail holes and seems in the the baseboards and door frames that were simply not done. And, the walls were only primed and not painted. I could not get them to paint the walls. This is not my first brand new home. I am simply giving up at this point and hiring someone. The repairs were because a shower that has never been used developed a leak and the company's on going thing is everything is on back order. It wasn't fixed for over six months and caused mold because the water ran out of the shower onto the floor. walls had to be replaced in the bathroom, on the other side in my kitchen behind the stove, they had to take out the cabinet next to the stove, in my pantry they had to create an access panel for the shower and replace the wall with mold in there also. It is a very sad situation.

Well, my not so successful Saturday but good news.
I decided to frog the hexagon cardigan again. I had finished both hexagons and was working on the back which joins the two and has a section between them. Ultimately, I decided that the hexagons need to be bigger before I join them. So, I have completed the frog and I am ready to cast on again.
On a side note, I have found a painter for my house. It will have to be done room by room, as in empty a room and have it painted and then put everything back and move to the next room. So, it will be a very long project but I have cleared out more boxes and sold my mom's lift chair this week.

I finished the sun hat I was crocheting. It came out nice. It’s made of a soft grey-blue ribbon yarn. It’s like a sombrero, with a wide brim. The brim is stiff enough that it doesn’t flop. It has some fancy crossed stitches to give it a bit of pizzazz. Thanks ReNae for explaining how to make the crosses when I wasn’t sure about the instructions.
I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet in action, but I think it will shade my face well.
It’s called Beachside Sun Hat, and it’s on Ravelry and Lion Brand.
