Is it one you can use to thread a sewing needle? I am not the most dexterous person and I have a hard time keeping that open while putting the thread through. I am sure most of you can do it so don’t be afraid to try if you have never used it.

It’s a beading needle. The eye is flexible. You pull it open to thread it, then it collapses closed to fit easily through a bead.

This is one kind I bought from Amazon. The current price is $4.99.

I also bought a set of Beadalon needles. Don’t know why I bought 2 sets. That price is $5.38.

class date/Time: Friday, June 6, 2025 at 8 PM

 level: beginners

media: zoom

teacher: Laurie Porter

supplies:2 colors of size 6 sea beads

2 collapsible beating needles

1 spool of beef thread, such as fire line, wildfire, KO, or anything else you have in an eight or 10 pound test

please note, the thicker of the bead thread, the more rigid your necklace will be. 8 pound test fire line allows for a supple flexible necklace. Also, you can use any size seed or pony beads such as eight or 11s but you'll have to adjust for the amount of beads for the length of the necklace

1 bead stopper or one different bead then the ones you'll be working with.

One clasp   of your choice

scissors or thread cutters

this is the first of a series of ongoing beginner feeding classes that will be held every first and third Friday of each month at 8:00 PM. Just bring along your beads and materials and your creativity and we'll do the rest
