You sure can crochet around. You want to put three single crochet in each corner. Crochet right over the beginning and end of the yarn tails. You want one single crochet in each row going down the sides. This way you can save the yarn needle bit till the end, smile.

So how do I add the edging? The only thing I know how to do is crochet around because you obviously can’t knit. I found some really pretty multiply colored shades of purple today that will work. I have pink for a border. Can I crochet around? Thanks.
