Row 2 begins with cords 3-6, since row 1 is already down which started with cords 1-4.
Let me know if you have more questions.

Good afternoon Annie.
I have another question. In step four when we are doing the two rows of alternating square knots, does the first row start with chords one or does it start with chord three?
Carol.

Below are the instructions Annie sent for the macrame Anything Pocket.

THE ANYTHING POCKET
MATERIALS: 80-1/4 yards 3mm macrame cord; 2 12-inch dowels with beads on each end. Macrame board with t-pins for holding work in place.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Cut 52 cords 1-1/2 yards long, 1 cord 2-1/4 yards long to be used later.
2. Mount 26 cords onto each dowel with larksheads. Each dowel is worked separately until later.
3. Tie a row of square knots with each group of 4 cords beneath larksheads beginning on the left.
4. Tie 2 rows of alternating square knots on each piece.
5. Now join the two sections together with an alternating square knot on each edge with 2 cords from each side. Continue tying alternating square knots around the pocket.
6. Tie 8 rows of alternating square knots around pocket, working as a tube. (I always cut a piece of cardboard to fit inside the tube to keep the sides separated).
7. Tie 3 rows of decreasing square knots working back and front separately. This gives a slight curve to corners.
8. Turn pocket inside out to close bottom. Beginning on one end, tie a square knot with no fillers, using 1 cord front and 1 from back.
9. Continue working across bottom tying square knots using 2 cords from both sides, 2 as tying cords and 2 as fillers. Proceed working until there are 2 cords left at the other end, tying a square knot with no fillers.
10. Cut cord ends and fuse together.
11. Turn right side out.
12. Attach beads to end of dowels, glue if necessary.
13. Mount the 2-1/4 yard cord with a larkshead onto back dowel of pocket on left end and tie a chain of approximately 44 half hitches. Close hitch end onto right end of back dowel. Fuse ends and cut.
