Hi Ericka, again, Terry, the entire family of Sophie and I thank you for your words of comfort.
We think that that is so beautiful with the way that the children of your Parish join in on the Baptism of the newest member of Christ’s Church Family.

Oh my, I have missed so much here! Chad and I are going to learn how to be listeners for people at church. It’s called the B. EFRIENDER program and it’s international but I understand. Kind of like lay people to give emotional support and help people think through their troubles concerns, etc. Mostly just listening. Of course, in the summer I’ve been doing a lot of mowing, but I retired the lawnmower for the year today. Then I was allergic to a medication so that made things really frustrating and miserable. I apologize for not being around either on this list or attending anything. Someday it is my wish to be more available for projects. Beads aren’t really my thing, but there’s lots of other stuff that you’re doing like Henry and Terry and everybody who knit and crochet is.
OK, now that I’ve done justifying my absence, I do want to say congratulations to the new granddaughter. We just had a baptism at church today. The baby was name was or is Avery rain. It is so cool how Pastor, does it at our church. Pastor Colette, of course, does all the blessing and stuff and asks the parents and godparents the usual questions in a blessing or dedication. However, when they put the sign of the cross on the baby, all the kids from the congregation are up there too. They take water from the baptismal font that the pastor and the kids blessed together and go and go out and do the sign of the cross on the adult participants in the baptism. One of the kids is older that attends and she lit the baptismal candle. I love the way she has all the kids that are willing participate. There were three kids, which I know wasn’t too many, but they poured water into the baptismal font to prepare for the baptism. It was all part of the service! It was so wonderful! Second, I am so sorry for the loss of kitties and guide dogs. Sophie especially has a big warm spot in my heart. KROKUS is a really neat name for an animal. Especially the spelling. Do those who’ve lost family members of the not so furry kind, my condolences as well. Stay strong and do not lose heart. We are here with you on the journey.

Hi Ericka, does your friend have any yarn or craft things to donate? I have a good home for them! Big smile.
The same offer goes for others on this too quiet list. Big smile.

You’re all impressed me! I helped someone be successful. One of my friends has moved from one part of town to another. It’s never fun to sort your stuff and throw things away or donate things that have memories. But we did it. She now has enough space enough space in her living room/kitchen to walk around and lots of things to donate to someone who will love them.
Have a great one!

My success is thinking of Cindy’s tenacity in working on her sweater, and following her example.
The button band on my sweater is taking longer than all the cable work. I did it once, then realized it was really too short, so I pulled it out. I did it again, then thought I’d picked up the stitches on the wrong side and pulled it out and did it again picking up on the other side, only to realize I was right the first time and pull that out. Now I’ve picked up stitches for the band again. I’m on the right side, and I have the right number of stitches. Hopefully nothing will go wrong this time.
